Executive Director
Thesis Title: Monitoring and managing the spread of marine introduced species
About
My research is multidisciplinary but mainly falls into the fields of marine ecology, conservation biology, invasion ecology, oceanography, community ecology, and evolutionary biology. Research questions of interest are both applied and theoretical ones. I conduct laboratory and manipulative field experiments complimented with broad scale surveys to test theory and better understand drivers of large-scale patterns in nature. My research can help us understand the biology of a species, so we can make more informed management and policy decisions. I also strive to disseminate the information to the widest audience in the fastest manner possible by outreach in the form of educational articles, videos, workshops, and supervising citizen science networks to compliment peer-reviewed publications.
